I actually went to Arab St yesterday! After such a LONG time of wanting to go eat at Zam Zam, I finally did! Owe it all to Jerusha for allowing me to go with her to buy a basket. I quite liked the murtabak that we ate there...and we think that the person charged us $2 lesser than what we're supposed to pay! Oh well...
Anyways, I've just received some pictures uploaded to my Friendster account from Amellia (thanks a lot Amellia!!!!)...it's from 8th Aug's national day celebration at school. I was wearing the yukata that Jerusha, Raidah and Amanda have helped me buy, and, oh man, I was so so so happy to be wearing that japanese costume, and it's MINE!!! Haha...so here's the pic:
(i remember! this pic...she must've taken it at the hall!)
Okay! That's all for now! Bye! Thanks for reading my blog post!
It's never been better! Okay...let's take a look at my life from last Saturday...
6th Aug, sat: TKPS Family-A-Fair! It's my primary school's carnival day. They invited me and all other ex-TKPians to come. So I went. And met so many old friends and teachers!NVM the essential Mr. Zad couldn't be seen because he was one of the ghosts in the Haunted House, but nothing beats catching up with classmates of 6A 2001!
7th Aug, sun: Housework day. But all was well, 'cos QiQi came over to my house to learn how to tie the obi for wearing the yukata the next day. My mom, sis and I were watching Harry Potter and the Prizoner of Azkaban VCD (my fav HP movie of all times!)
At night, there was a really good documentary: Hiroshima on CNA. I loved it. Looking forward to next week's 1945 Asia Remembers the Dead
8th Aug, mon: National day celebrations at school, and I wore my very own brand new yukata that Raidah, Jerusha and Amanda have helped bought for me! I enjoyed taking lotsa lotsa photos with my mates, but the best part was after all the celebrations, I went with, Jer, Raidah, YuLin, Alison, Renuka, Qi, and Christabel to Marina Square's GV to watch Charlie and the Chocolate Factory!!!!!!!!!!! I've always thought I hated the movie, because of the scary way Willy Wonka's portrayed by Johnny Depp and the whole way the movie is set. But hey, it's really funny. I sat next to YuLin in a 2nd Row seat which wasn't ours (we were supposed to sit with the other 6 of us in the 3rd row), and boy was it cool. I don't regret spending my $8 on that movie. Really good to watch even if you hate it.
There was one scene where Willy and the kids were in the chocolate fountain room, and a kid asked if the stuff there were edible (they called it 'eatable'). And guess what Willy Wonka said? "Of course that's eatable. Everything in this room is eatable. Even I am eatable -but that, my children, is called canibalism."
Bwahahahahahahaha!!!!!!
9th Aug, tue, today: Woke up to read today's papers on the Natn'l Day 160-page special. I think I like the board game. My dad came home from work today...and HE BOUGHT A DVD PLAYER/RECORDER!!!!!!!! can you believe that? My sister and I have ALWAYS been thinking of buying one ourselves, and my dad brought one home today! So the 1st thing we watched with it was "Gensoumaden Saiyuki: Requiem" the Movie! That DVD was a birthday present from my 2nd sis who, I dunno why, absent-mindedly bought it for me during her trip to M'sia 2 years ago, when she very well knows (at that time)we don't have a DVD player. Finally! I've watched that DVD! So happee...
Now I'm watiting for 5:55pm to come...so that I can watch this year's National Day Parade! I'm starting to remember...last year, at this time, I was at the Indoor Stadium rehearsing for the Grand Finale item I was taking part in, that is, singing the song 'Home' with JJ Lin and Kit Chan with my school's and Tampines Pri's choirs.
I've always been able to see the fireworks from my house, last year the fireworks were behind and above my head, this year I can't see it 'cos it's at the Padang. But hey, I can still see it on TV right?
Btw, once I really really really have the time (most probably after the O Levels) I'll make a new blog template, and the theme'll be the J-dorama 'Emergency Room 24 Hours 3'. I can't wait to work on it! Meanwhile, I'm saving up money to buy the Fullmetal Alchemist DVD, and also waiting for my Mother Tongue O Level results!
Gonna go study full-time tomorrow for History Mock Exam on Thursday!
